This video is a street performance by a company called Royal de Luxe who do large-scale marionette street shows.
This is an amazing song from the French band Les Balayeurs du désert off their album Jules Verne Impact. They sample the vocals off on an old song by Blossom Dearie called It Amazes Meand mix in all sorts of instruments to create this great tune.
They’ve released 3 albums so far, but it’s very difficult finding out any more about this band. They’ve collaborated several times with the Royal de Luxe providing music for their productions. You can sample 30 second tidbits of their songs on Amazon.com. If you find out anything more about this group, let me know.
No video for this song, so enjoy a still picture of the sunset.
Spokes who I believe are from the UK (it’s very difficult finding info on these guys), deliver a nice instrumental post-rock song very similar to my previous entry, Explosions In The Sky. If you like one, you’ll like the other.
They’ve released one album so far, and will be touring the UK in November. That’s all I have on these guys. If you have anything to add, that’s the what the comments section is for. 🙂
No video for this song. Just a still picture of the album cover.
Explosions In The Sky play an instrumental ditty with many different layers. Guitar driven, with a hint of drums and bass makes this a nice trippy tune to listen to.
Actually all of this Texas band’s songs are like this. Post-rock is what they play and they do it well. They’ve released 5 albums so far, and 1 Soundtrack for Friday Night Lights, the movie. A lot of their music is also used in Friday Nights Lights, the tv series. So if you’ve seen either, you’ve probably heard their music.
